P David Ebersole starred as Henry Antrobus in Thornton Wilder’s “The Skin of Our Teeth” when he was a junior at Hollywood High School. The part was originated by Montgomery Clift on Broadway. Interestingly, Lizabeth Scott — the subject of the Todd Hughes memoir Lunch with Lizabeth — infamously was cast as the understudy to Tallullah Bankhead who never missed a performance. It is rumored that “All About Eve” is based on their relationship.
