Summary: Based on Thomas Mann's novella "Death in Venice," this tragic parable about repression, obsession, and the perils of romantic love tells of a despondent middle-aged writer who, while on doctor’s orders to avoid stress, is lured from his books by his sister-in-law's seductive stepson.
