Summary: Los Angeles based and openly gay artist Keith Boadwee is the subject/star of this self-proclaimed art film which functions as both "a day in the life of the artist" and a documentation of the process Mr. Boadwee employs for his new series of paintings. The new paintings are a nod to the epic abstract expressionists of the New York School; only Mr Boadwee creates his composition by giving himself an enema of paint and then expelling the color from his anus to the canvas. "As with the Gutai Group, Yves Klein, and Andy Warhol, Baodwee's process and product meld to become both an homage and a moon toward his art heritage."  Mirroring the tradition of Baodwee's art, famed underground filmmaker Todd Hughes' film BUTTHOLE BONANZA is also both homage and parody of the rich history of art films. With great respect, Hughes has created satirical "mini-films" which target every film artist from Kenneth Anger, Bruce Webber, Bruce and Norman Yanemoto to Andy Warhol, Hitchcock, Ducahmp, and even the early films of Mr. Hughes himself, as well as the seminal art documentaries JACKSON POLLACK and THE MYSTERY OF PICASSO. High and low art meet in the entertaining celebration of love, life and beauty. The film features an original score by Cary Berger (SUTURE).
